FAQ
Questions? We've Got Answers.

1. What services do you offer?
We handle tax preparation and planning for individuals and businesses, full-service bookkeeping, and additional services like payroll coordination, 1099 preparation, entity selection, and IRS or state notice response. We also coordinate directly with financial advisors as part of our advisory approach.

2. Who do you typically work with?
We work with S corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and Schedule C sole proprietors or single-member LLCs, generally up to $10M in annual revenue, whether single-owner or multi-owner, in any state. We also prepare individual returns for people at every stage, from simple W-2 filers to business owners with more complex situations.

3. How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on your specific situation, so we don't post a flat rate. Every client gets a clear, personalized quote before deciding to work with us, no surprises once you're underway.

4. What happens after I reach out?
You'll start with a short form so we can understand your situation, followed by a free intro meeting to talk through your goals. From there we'll put together a clear proposal and quote. Once you decide to move forward, most engagements are up and running in a few weeks.

5. Do I need to already have a financial advisor?
No. If you already work with one, we're glad to coordinate directly with them. If you don't, we can still help, and can make an introduction if that's something you're interested in down the road.

6. Do you do one-off tax returns or late tax returns?
We do not typically prepare one-off tax returns.  We prefer to work with clients who are looking for more than "just" a tax return.  We like to get to know our clients and check-in with them throughout the year so we can provide the highest level of service and planning.  If you have late tax returns to prepare, we are willing to have a free intro meeting with you. We require a deposit upfront to cover prior year return preparation.

7.  Do you offer bookkeeping if I don't need tax prep?
Yes, bookkeeping is available on its own or bundled with tax services, depending on what you need.

8. What states do you file in?
We can file tax returns for any state.

9. Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. Any information you share with us is kept confidential, and we won't share your tax records or returns with anyone, including a financial advisor, unless you've signed a disclosure form authorizing it.

10. How do you stay current on tax law and accounting regulatory changes?
Regulations shift often, so we take continuing education seriously. All of our staff complete 40 hours of continuing education each year to stay current on the latest accounting and tax legislation and be up to date with accounting industry best practices.  You can count on advice that reflects where things actually stand, not where they used to be.
